This is Nyah. She is no older than 4 months, and her short life has been filled with pain and suffering. She is covered in demodex, and she has a very deliberate burn injury down her entire back. What happened to her was not an accident — it was intentional cruelty.

This is exactly why our parish needs stronger animal protection laws and better resources. Nyah’s story is heartbreaking, but it is also the reality we face every single day. We want our community to understand what these animals endure and why our work matters.
