Our mission at Atchafalaya River Rescue is to provide a temporary loving, safe environment to care for abandoned and unwanted animals. Our ultimate goal is to find them loving forever homes whether through adoption or transport to larger rescue organizations. We strive to provide education to the community about the importance of vet care, heartworm and flea prevention, and spaying/neutering animals.
