Linda Desselle is a lifelong animal lover, devoted wife, mother, and passionate rescue advocate. She has been married to her husband, Ronald, for 34 years, and together they have two children, Holly and Noah. Linda is also a proud fur-mom to two beloved pets, Lola and P.
Linda began rescuing animals independently in 2018 after witnessing the overwhelming need in her hometown of Simmesport, Louisiana. After losing her job of 26 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she chose to turn that life change into a mission of compassion and purpose.
In 2021, alongside her partner Bridget Bordelon, Linda founded Atchafalaya River Rescue, Inc. Together, they work tirelessly to save, protect, and advocate for animals in need, driven by heart, determination, and a belief that every life matters.
